I was doing my Blog Book Tour homework today, doing some Googley searches on blogs I might be able to guest on, when I found something WONDERFUL.

A Dean Martin blog - with an entry that talks about me! I'm absolutely thrilled. They even posted a (very nice) review of my book.
I'm as tickled as Sally Field on Oscar night!

How cool is that. How did you come across your review on this site? Was it by complete accident? A bizzare alignmnet of the moon and stars? Also, did this person write the review or did they use a review from another source? Congrats on your fame spreading to other blog sites.

Why, yes, Stephen, it was a special alignment of the planets - Mercury has just come out of retrograde and moved into nostalgia-grade. I was looking for blogs that would tie in with the cultural/geographical aspects of my book. One of my characters, Benny Needles, is obsessed with Dean Martin, so I Googled "dean martin blogs". I hit upon Dino Martin Peters' blog, skimmed thru the entries, and viola! There I was!
The review is originally from this blog - http://harstan.wordpress.com/2009/06/11/freezer-burn-gayle-carline/
I haven't investigated this blog very much yet, but it might be a good resource for those of us with books on the shelves...
Gayle, this is great! Congratulations on the nice Klausner review and the reference to your book on the Dino site. It's all good!
Great news! And you never would have known if you hadn't been doing your blog tour homework!

Hey pallie Gayle, was so delighted to see that you found your book mentioned at ilovedinomartin...woulda done a article tagged to your site for "Freezer Burn," but you specifically have required permission to use info from there...if the way be clear I would not only loves to have you do a guest blogg post on our Dino for the ilovedinomartin Dinoblog, but would loves to feature your "Burn" blogg as well. Always so so happy to see the name of our Dino lifted up....
btw, loves the reference to Sally Fields...she truly deserved to win the oscar for "Places In The Heart"
What a great discovery! Kudos!

That's cool. I signed up for a google service that tells me when my name is mentioned on the Internet so I can easily find out without having to google myself all the time. :)
Congrats on the good review.
Dino - sorry about the whole "permission" thing on my Freezer Burn site. I didn't know I had such restrictions, but I guess a girl can't be too careful, stranger danger and all that. I'll see what I can do about it, and I'll definitely whip up something this week about Benny and Dino for your wonderfully Dino-riffic blog!
Hey pallie Gayle, no problemo...lookin' forward to your Dinoreport...so I am assumin' that it is ok to do some Dinoprose on the "Burn" site....is that Dinocorrect?
Wow! What are the odds? Congratulations on the good reviews.

That is really cool! It's actually quite cool to find that your book has a character who likes Dean Martin...mine does too! Dean's songs feature strongly in a couple of my scenes.
I got a huge kick out of seeing this post and finding out about the Dean Marin link.
Good luck with that blog - that's a stellar find.
