"The notion that such persons are gay of heart and carefree is curiously untrue. They lead, as a matter of fact, an existence of jumpiness and apprehension. They sit on the edge of the chair of Literature. In the house of Life they have the feeling that they have never taken off their overcoats."
- James Thurber, My Life and Hard Times

Please enjoy the music while I put you on hold

Blogging every day has been an interesting experience, even if it's only been eleven days. Remember when I was trying to finish that press kit? Well, it still isn't complete, but I've decided that time is of the essence and I have to push through at least a rough draft.

In the meantime, I have a spare bedroom in need of a bulldozer, laundry to complete, dishes to wash, a backyard to clean up, and groceries to purchase. It's beyond difficult to concentrate on writing when these things taunt me every time I look up from the computer screen. How do you get it all done?

While I'm up to my neck in random words and phrases, trying not to write a press release that sounds like Honest Dan's Used Cars ("FREEZER BURN! FREEZER BURN! BUY IT NOW! YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT!"), here's a couple of slideshows and a video to promote my book, hopefully in a less vulgar way.

It's the story, of a lovely hand, who was wearing a very lovely ring.
