In the meantime, I have a spare bedroom in need of a bulldozer, laundry to complete, dishes to wash, a backyard to clean up, and groceries to purchase. It's beyond difficult to concentrate on writing when these things taunt me every time I look up from the computer screen. How do you get it all done?
While I'm up to my neck in random words and phrases, trying not to write a press release that sounds like Honest Dan's Used Cars ("FREEZER BURN! FREEZER BURN! BUY IT NOW! YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT!"), here's a couple of slideshows and a video to promote my book, hopefully in a less vulgar way.
It's the story, of a lovely hand, who was wearing a very lovely ring.

I think those are great ways to promote a book, because most people seem to be visually oriented. I've only seen one that made me want to buy the book, and it was very slick. I think it because I'm much more into words that pictures.

Promotion is something very different from writing. I loved your blog title. It struck quite a chord (nerve?) How can they presume to know the music that will relax me as opposed to making me want to pummel them into unconsciousness?
I may be out of cellphone range for the next 12 days. I will answer posts as I am able.
Wow! I didn't see that coming on the video. Very clever...I love it!

Book trailers are big -- everyone seems to be doing one. I have to get with it on that front. The more inventive ways you can find to intrigue people, the better.
Wow, Gayle you are very talented! How much time did you spend on making the video? Is there software that can help me learn how to do it?

Nice trailors - and a well put together post!
Enid - the video was put together by a friend of mine, Michael Steven Gregory, who will be doing possibly one or two more videos for me. He does them professionally. If you're interested, check out http://www.authoredge.com/index.html
